Michael Chabon, The Yiddish Policeman's Union

[this is good]
I'm just about to start this, having finished Harry Potter and the Now It's Time to Get a Life, Loser last week. I remember reading The Mysteries of Pittsburgh not long after it came out, when I was in high school. It really struck me, but I would have never predicted that he would grow to become one of my favorite writers and I'd still be reading his books fifteen years later.

You should try Summerland. It's a kids' book, but another in which he richly imagines a world.
I am working on this one right now. Good to read that you liked it!
